It’s been SO long since i did just a basic entry! I thought i would do that today, as it’s the first of the month, and there’s SO much happening! We’ve got a few banquets coming up, and a gathering or two or three! LOL.
we had our first gathering this last saturday. it was nice to see a few cousins and the girls LOVED their new friends they made there. it was my dad’s side of the family, and he has two siblings. there was 2 representatives from each family there. i realized out unsocial i had become with being a stay at home mom, and just couldn’t get the right words out of my mouth on any topic other than parenting/being a stay at home mom. it was kinda frustrating, yet i realized i would probably be forcing my children to sacrifice something if i increase my socializing. it’s not something that is that important at this stage in life. i look forward to working on bettering my social skills someday when i don’t have to force anyone to sacrifice anything for me.
I always look forward to christmas banquets, as the food is usually AMAZING, and it’s a chance to get away from life along with my husband. i guess it’s a form of a date!
We don’t do that nearly often enough, and I know it. It’s just SO hard to do anything about it at this stage in life. we likely will be taking the baby with us this year, as she is MUCH to shy to stay with anyone. it makes me a little sad, but i do realize it’s JUST one year. out of all three kids, i’ve never had to take one with me to banquets, not even the middle baby who was born early december one year, just before the banquet season. this week we will attend the church banquet, with baby in tow!
We have our first school christmas program this week for the kindergarten girl. REALLY looking forward to that! I hope to be joined by MIL as well as mom. DH will have to wait till she has an evening one i guess, as this year it’s at 10 am. (note to self, invite MIL)
We have a birthday this coming week. Middle dd is turning the big 4. She’s really looking forward to being 4. It’s amazing that next year this time she’ll be a kindergartner as she turns 5! WOW. lets not think about that just yet.
So, i’ll try and bring to you some excitement from all the december events, but i’ll possibly be cutting back on my posting. i hope to share with you a few times a week! possibly a wordless wednesday picture, the simple woman’s daybook on friday’s, as well as the regular comics on saturdays! anything above that is icing on the cake!
Happy December to you and yours!
