*whew*

it all happened on it’s own, and i still have no idea how, but the traffic flow here was insane for a few days due to someone submitting my website address here.  the ride was fun…but it’s also kinda nice to be ‘back to normal’ with regular viewers who are here because they want to be, and because they care.

thank you for those of you who do visit, and i hope there’s enough here to entertain you at least once a day to keep you coming back.  i mostly do this for myself, as a form of documenting our life as a family as well as a form of journalling.

see ya soon…

today i want to share a little about my kindy kid, my oldest dd, my firstborn.  she’s a gem, that girl.  i love her to pieces, and pray each day that i’ll do right by her.  in church this last sunday, i was reminded about the difference between characteristics and personality.  characteristics are built, and personality is inherited.  i’m trying to help her build characteristics that can carry her through life, helping her be all she was meant to be.  having her own relationship with God, and fulfilling her calling.

i see much of myself in my daughter, but i also see a nice balance of my dh in her.  i’m amazed daily at her ability to surprise me with her questions and her comments.  she’s bright, she’s quick to learn, and she’s got the hugest heart i’ve seen in a kid her again ever.  i love her imagination, her craftiness, and her helpfulness.  she’s always there to help, often without prompting from me!

she started kindergarten this fall, and has been thriving academically as well as socially.  i’m so excited that she’s had an amazing teacher that has taken the time to draw her true self out.  she’s making new friends, she’s learning new things, and she’s loving every part of it!

i’ll share a few pictures of this girl, and some of her craftiness as well!  i’ll start with this picture of her latest project she made for her kindergarten teacher.  it’s a telescope and binocular combo.  :)   i’ve encouraged her to try and create something a little smaller that’ll fit into her backpack and that the teacher can possibly find room for somewhere in her classroom.  LOL.  :)
